I was recently given the Curry Bible as a birthday present, and made my first attempt to use it on Tuesday. The resultant Beef Bhuna was superb, easily my best attempt at a curry yet. I could taste all of the individual spices and at the same time they blended into something else entirely. The texture was exactly as a bhuna should be. I am sure I am now well on the way to being a good curry chef.

Hi Madhur
I’ve just bought the book and it looks great, can’t wait until the weekend to start trying some of the recipes. I know for sure that we are kicking it all off with the Indian Scrambled eggs.
Come on over and have a look at our facebook page that is dedicated to all things curry (you even get a mention). http://www.facebook.com/adventuresincurryland – you could be our first celebrity chef to “like” the page- here’s hoping. – AiC

An elderly friend of mine, who lives alone, listens to The Splendid Table radio program. In late January, Madhur Jaffrey talked about a vegetarian soup with Swiss Chard & Okra. She very badly wants the exact recipe so she can make it. Can anyone please help? Thank you and Bon Appetit!

Indian is my favourite food but I have always thought it would be too difficult to cook myself. I recently bought Curry Easy – I have cooked two of the curries with 4 of the accompaniments so far and all of them turned out perfectly and were enjoyable to cook too! This is the best recipe book I have ever had, I want to make every single meal in here – Thank you for teaching me to cook Indian food!!
